Workplace Clothing Etiquette – Why It’s Best Not To Cut Corners

Ok – Hands up we all like to cut the odd corner when it comes to daily chores but there are a few things that you think you can get away with, but in reality you really, really shouldn’t.

So, to start off the New Year here are a few of our favourite pictures of people cutting corners when it comes to workplace clothing.

1. The improvised face mask
Can’t be bothered to buy a face mask for work? Or maybe you left yours at home, well here is something you really shouldn’t try.

2. Are flip-flops the new safety boot?
Finding the price of safety boots expensive? Why bother when you can turn your flip-flops into a safety shoe. They’ll definitely protect you when you drop something large on your feet, well on second thoughts maybe not.

3. Something out of reach? Try this genius method
Fair enough we can’t call them out on their work wear but we can point out the obvious, a plank and machinery does not mix. Try a ladder next time fellas.

4. Sunglasses & cardboard – The new safety mask hitting shops soon
Where do we start? Sunglasses should not be an alternative for protective eyewear and as for the cardboard face mask, we’re not too sure that will protect you from sparks they tend to set paper on fire.

At JKL we don’t cut corners but we do cut our prices, so if you’re looking for quality work wear that’s purse friendly then take a look at what we have to offer.
