Staff Clothing for Walk to Work Week

Walk to Work Week is a national challenge organised by the charity Living Streets. Taking place from the 14th to the 18th of May 2012 it promises to be well supported by companies and organisations up and down the land.

The overall aim of the week is to get people walking to and from work, whilst at work, during lunchtime and beyond thereby improving peoples health and well being.

Organisations and employees are encouraged to sign up to the challenge and utilise the online tools available to record how much walking they do.

JKL Clothing supply a wide range of workwear and corporate clothing garments ideally suited to outdoor activities and walking. Our range includes garments from brands such as Portwest Workwear and Regatta outdoor clothing which have jackets and outerwear for all weather types and to suit all budgets.

The Portwest Technik Softshell Jacket (TK50) is an example of the quality and performance characterised by the Portwest brand.

Available in either black or navy and in sizes from small to XX large it is certified to EN343 Class 3:3 and comes with a windproof and water resistant exterior.

The Regatta outdoor brand is well known for providing suitable protection to those wanting to experience all the outdoors has to offer. One of our best sellers is the Regatta Mens Dover Jacket (RG045).

Available in a range of six colour combinations and sizes ranging from small to 4X large this jacket is suited to those wanting a warm, dry walk to work or those out for a country walk over ardent terrain.

Following last years walk to work event:

•57% of people felt that their overall level of walking had increased

•49% walked some or all of their journey to work five days a week, compared with 27% before Walk to Work Week

•Half of people were 30 minutes or more physical activity on five or more days per week, compared with under a third before Walk to Work Week.

Hopefully 2012 will prove to be an even greater success.

Winter Workwear still the order of the day

Workwear orders received by JKL Clothing continue to be dominated by cold weather workwear garments. The UK has just had the wettest April since records began and this has certainly transferred to the styles of workwear clothing that we have dispatched to our customers and received enquiry after enquiry for.

Top of the list has been garments from the Portwest Wet Weather Range such as the Portwest Sealtex Waterproof Jacket.

Available in 5 colour options Black, Grey, Navy, Olive and Royal and 7 sizes from Small to 4 Extra Large this is the perfect wet weather jacket. This usually proves popular throughout the winter months as those requiring workwear jackets look to the weather forecast and make a buying decision on which garment will get them through a typical UK rainy winter day.

We have compared the most popular workwear clothing products sold during the last 2 weeks of April in 2011 with those sold for the same period in 2012. The difference is quite startling. Last year our top selling workwear items included workwear shorts such as the Portwest Workwear Texo Contrast Shorts.

Available in 3 colour options, Black, Charcoal and Navy and 5 size options Small to 2 Extra Large we have only processed a limited number of orders for these and other Workwear Shorts from our range.

Now that we have entered the month of May the weather shows no sign of changing to a more drier climate with many areas of the UK still under water and further flood warnings in place.

Rest assured though when the great British summer does eventually arrive JKL Clothing have a range of workwear garments ideally suited to a warmer drier season.
