53% Growth In Organic Cotton Production


Organic Exchange has published a report about the increase in demands for organic cotton. It shows a large increased in both sales and production. The report identified that the amount of organic cotton that is globally produced, rose in 2005/2006 to 2006/2007 by 53%. It also reports that the global organic cotton demands will see much larger jumps through 2008. these forecasts are predicted to be between 25% and 55% during the next 12 months. The company's latest research shows the leading countries been, China, India and Turkey, with nearly half (44.9%) being grown in the Middle East.
