Printing is Now Back on the Menu at JKL Clothing

We have re-introduced printing as a garment personalisation method.

We can now offer two print options, transfer print and screen print.

These provide great print results with bright, vibrant colours and sharp detail to any printed logo.

Printing can provide an alternative personalisation method to embroidery, and it is a matter of personal choice which you choose.

It can often be more cost-effective to select print to place a logo onto your chosen garments, as the price is not affected by the print size.

Popular garments for printing include t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts and workwear garments such as Hi-Vis jackets.

We have a vast range, so we are confident you will find the perfect clothing item for your needs.

Quick turnaround and fast delivery mean you can get your printed clothing order when you need it, and our staff are on hand to help you choose your garments and discuss your printed logo.

Printing can also show more fine detail to your logo, with fine lines and shading possible. We can also match Pantone reference colours to a print you cannot do with embroidery thread.

The vast majority of the garments on our website can be printed. Exceptions are fleece garments such as jackets, although we now offer some fleece jackets that can also be printed.

Ordering printed garments from JKL Clothing is quick and straightforward.

Order online by adding garments to your basket and then customising once in your basket.

You can Email sales@jklclothing.co.uk with your requirements and then receive a quote, or pick up the phone and speak to one of our sales team, who will answer any questions and advise on the best printing option for you.

We have put together more information on printing and choosing the best print option.

Our printed clothing project management article will tell you all you need to know about ordering your printed garments.

And our printed clothing pros and cons article will give you more information about the printing process .

Embroidered Sweatshirts

Embroidered Sweatshirts

Its that time of year again when winter begins to bite, temperatures drop, and the days get shorter. Christmas may be around the corner and offer something to look forward to but for workers up and down the country the thought of a long winter ahead fills them with dread.

One of the most common complaints from a workforce is that they are cold at work. With many companies struggling with the cost of heating they are looking at alternative ways to keep their workforce warm. One of the most cost-effective ways to keep your employees warm is to provide them with cold weather clothing.

Of all the clothing items that will help to keep you warm one of the simplest and most cost-effective is a sweatshirt. An embroidered sweatshirt not only has your company logo emblazoned on it but keeps workers warm and happy. Simple, smart, durable, and comfortable to wear the humble sweatshirt ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to a practical item of clothing that can be worn by everyone.

An embroidered sweatshirt can be worn as an outer garment when inside or as a layer under a jacket when outside. It can also be removed should the boss decide to turn up the heating and put back on if there is a cold spell of weather. Sweatshirts are also cheap with prices starting at less than £10 it is a cost-effective way to provide uniform and keep staff warm at work. The sweatshirt material is incredibly durable and can last and look good for months and even years after you have first purchased them. Embroidery is also a durable way to personalise a sweatshirt and will last as long and look as good as the sweatshirt itself.

Why choose embroidery as a personalisation method when decorating a sweatshirt? Firstly, the slightly thicker material of a sweatshirt naturally lends itself to embroidery. The embroidery thread will not add excessive weight to the sweatshirt that may distort its shape, which can sometimes happen with lighter weight fabrics. A sweatshirt with an embroidered logo will stand out. As you are adding a material to a material it will bring a new dimension to the sweatshirt that other garment decoration methods such as printing do not. Durability is also a benefit of embroidery. Embroidery threads don’t fade over time, lose their shape or come away.

An embroidered sweatshirt then is a simple, cheap, and effective way to keep your employees warm and make them look smart at the same time. Sweatshirts, like any other item of clothing come in a variety of styles and designs. They also come in a variety of price brackets, starting at under £7.00 and going up to nearly £30.00 depending on the style and quality you are looking for. Our most popular sweatshirt is the Gildan Heavy blend crew neck sweatshirt which starts at a price of £7.15 excluding VAT. This is an ideal workwear or staff uniform sweatshirt and looks great with an embroidered company logo added. There are many other sweatshirt available from brands such as Fruit of the Loom, AWDis, Kustom Kit, Henbury and more.

Ordering an embroidered sweatshirt from JKL Clothing is easy. Customise, order, and pay online. Complete an enquiry form and request a quote or contact one of our expert staff who will guide you through each step. Either way we are sure you will not regret ordering an embroidered sweatshirt this winter and neither will your warm and happy staff.

Embroidery Near Me

Looking for local embroidery near me

Many of our enquiries come from businesses and individuals that are looking for personalised embroidered clothing that is nearby. One of the first questions we are asked is,

“Where are you located?”

After we have told the customer our address, we always then ask them if this is important. Some customers feel more comfortable and confident getting their embroidered clothing from a local supplier so that they can call in and speak in person. To others, it is not as important as they are happy to speak on the phone or communicate by email. Either way, if you have a delivery address within the UK, we can provide personalised embroidered clothing with excellent customer service at a very competitive price.

Personalised clothing that carries an embroidered logo, is just that, “personalised”. We, therefore, understand that in some circumstances our customers will want to discuss their embroidery requirements and speak to a “real” person face to face. This is especially important to some when it comes to their logo and how it will look on their chosen clothing. It is a fact however that over 90% of our customers are NOT local to us. JKL Clothing prides itself on our communication and we believe we can provide the level of personalised customer care and attention, whether you are on our premises, standing in front of us, on the phone or indeed communicating solely by email.

We have a simple and straightforward procedure for purchasing embroidered clothing from us and have many ways in which to select, obtain a quote and purchase your very own personalised embroidered clothing. We will always allocate a dedicated customer service and account manager to your order and this person will be your point of contact throughout the ordering process from selecting your garments, and originating your embroidered logo to receiving your order. We understand that it can sometimes seem a daunting and complicated process to purchase bespoke customised clothing so try to make it as easy as possible with a simple and straightforward pricing and ordering procedure.

It is never the case that you simply place your first order over the phone or online and then receive it a week later without any further communication from us. Each order is different from the next and we take great care to get your order exactly as you want it. This will mean that in the first instance we will digitize your embroidery logo and send you a sample for approval. We need to know that you are completely happy with how your logo looks, the colours and the size before we embroider it onto your garments. Once you are happy, we will then proceed.

Before we get to this stage though you need to select your personalised clothing items. With such a vast range to choose from this can sometimes seem a daunting prospect. That’s where a bespoke service with a dedicated account manager comes in. They will listen to your requirements and advise you on which garments to choose. You can then order plain items to assess suitability, colour and size before returning them to us.

As you can see it’s not imperative that you chose a personalised clothing company near to you. If we have some form of communication with our customers, we can provide the help and information required for you to select the perfect personalised embroidered clothing for your needs.

Brand Focus – Build Your Brand

Build Your Brand

So, if the brand name is Build Your Brand, guess what its clothing aims to do? You’ve guessed it provide you with clothing to do exactly that, build your brand. Whether we are talking about your own brand of clothing or in terms of your company brand this range of garments gives you the opportunity to customise, personalise and individualise clothing items with your brand.

Based in Germany and only recently introduced into the UK personalised clothing market Build Your Brand has already taken off at an alarming rate. Especially alarming if you are one of the many other clothing brands competing within the customised clothing sector. But what makes Build Your Brand different and stand out from the crowd. Here at JKL Clothing we think it is the specific youth and young fashion area of the customised clothing market that this brand specifically targets and is attracted to. Their clothing is young, on-trend and has an edge to it that people under the age of 30 really identify with and in targeting this age market Build Your Brand have filled a gap that had been vacant for some time with many of the more established clothing brands producing the same almost run of the mill garment ranges year after year.

The Build your Brand range is described by the brand themselves as “Streetwear for printers and embroiderers”. Five words that capture the essence of the brand. Think streetwear and you know immediately which age sector this brand is aimed at. Printers and Embroiderers then tells you this is a brand that is made to be customised.

So, what is in the range? If I filter on the JKL Clothing website I can see immediately that there are 16 product types to choose from. Almost every type of clothing item can be found within the brand. T-shirts, sweatshirts, trousers, shorts, jackets, vests, the list goes on. Basically, if you want to create a customised clothing brand you will probably find the item you want within this brand.

In Addition to the Build Your Brand range of over 130 garments we also have the Build Your Brand Basic and Build Your Brandit.

Build Your Brand Basic is a range of staple personalised clothing items in standard range colours but with sizes ranging from XS through to 5XL. Ideal if you are looking ever popular garment types that can meet almost all taste and fit all sizes. The difference is made when you get your hands on them and customise with your own unique design changing it from basic to anything but.

The Build Your Brand is almost at the opposite end of the spectrum to Build Your Brand Basic and is individual wear with an edge and an up to date fashion design that sets it out from the crowd. From summer windbreaker jackets to pure vintage trousers and shorts this off shot brand is for those not only looking to add a unique design to their garments but looking for a unique garment to put it on.

So, who orders Build Your Brand from JKL Clothing? We have already mentioned that this is a predominantly young person’s clothing brand. As such we have seen increased demand from clothing company start-ups. It is very attractive to the entrepreneur who is setting up a clothing business and is initially looking for stock items that they can customise and sell as their own brand. What also makes Build Your Brand ideal for this type of customer is the fact that all the clothing only comes with a size label in the neck of the garment. There is no mention of Build Your Brand on the garment. The start up clothing company can even insert their own label if they wish. This makes it a cost-effective way to launch your own brand of clothing onto the market.

And this is where JKL Clothing come in. Using our expertise, we work closely with our clients to develop the customisation that we can then embroider onto the garment. Access to large stock quantities, good size ranges and colour options means that your embroidered clothing with your own brand can be ordered quickly and received within a matter of days. This means the young start-up company does not have to either purchase an initial large order or keep large stock quantities. We can do that for you, and you can simply order as you sell.

In short, the Build Your Brand range has changed the game when it comes to customising on trend clothing targeting a young market and by working with a company like JKL Clothing for your finished personalised embroidered garment you are sure to stay ahead of the game.

Brand Focus - Henbury

Henbury

Each month we intend to publish a blog that highlights one of our main brands. This month we are going to look at Henbury. Taken from Henbury’s own marketing information they describe themselves as a brand with “classic, easy to wear styles for the modern corporate market”. We would agree this certainly sums up the Henbury brand and where they sit within the personalised clothing market.

A brief history of the brand. Established in 1997 with the aim of providing corporate, promotional and workwear clothing with fully co-ordinated styles for men, women and children, the brand grew quickly and soon established itself as one the UK’s market leading brands for polo shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, woven trousers, and shirts. From an initial range of 5 polo shirts the brand has grown to be one of the key manufacturers within the UK corporate and workwear market. Their key marketing message throughout that time has been that “clothes for work need to do exactly that, work”.

Here at JKL Clothing we have stocked and promoted the Henbury brand for over 10 years. During that time, we have seen many of our clients switch to using it as their staple uniform brand choice. One of the main reasons for this is the co-ordination of styles for both men and women. Many companies we deal with have company colours that they want to maintain through their uniform choice. Having the ability to order a polo shirt for example, with a male and female fit in the same shade of colour is a big plus when they come to choose a brand from which to have their staff uniform personalised. Continuity is also key to brand choice. A company does not want to provide a personalised staff uniform to their workforce only to see it then be discontinued within a year and any new starters then provided with uniform different to the rest of the workforce.

We think that the following line best describes what Henbury are all about.

“a co-ordinated range of leisure clothing for the corporate, promotional and workwear markets”

This is Henbury in a nutshell. Not the cheapest out there and perhaps not the biggest range, although there is certainly enough choices of styles, colours, and sizes to meet the most demanding buyer. But certainly, one of our top performing brands that we go to time after time when recommending a clothing brand for almost any workplace.

It is the garment decoration that sets the clothing off and provides our customers with that bespoke uniform they need to advertise their business and clothe their staff. We have been customising the Henbury brand for over 10 years mainly using embroidery and the chosen method. Our embroidery machines produce the highest quality finished embroidered garment product enhancing the clothing item and promoting the company all at the same time. Embroidered clothing using the Henbury brand has seen many of our clients return to us time after time for their staff uniform and workwear requirements. If you are new to JKL Clothing and looking for embroidered staff uniform or workwear we would highly recommend the Henbury brand. Why not see for yourself. Order samples through our website https://www.jklclothing.co.uk/b-henbury-32.aspx Try the garments on for size, feel and suitability. They can always be returned to us for a refund when you have assessed them. We are sure you will not be disappointed.

Tax Efficiency For Embroidered Company Uniform

The cost of purchasing and, in some cases, maintaining staff uniforms can often be expensive for a business.

There are, however, tax benefits to buying and providing branded staff clothing, so here are some of the points to bear in mind when deciding on a staff uniform for your business.

Embroidered branding makes it untaxable

Branding an item of staff clothing with an embroidered logo makes that item untaxable in the eyes of HMRC.

Once an item of work clothing is branded with an embroidered company logo, it then becomes a garment that can only be worn in the workplace to which the company logo applies and is therefore untaxable.

The embroidered company logo makes the item different from other clothing and therefore classed as an embroidered company clothing garment. Any clothing purchased as a work item and worn in the workplace which is not branded is then classed as a fringe benefit.

Removable branding still incurs tax

Using a removable branding option, such as an embroidered badge with the company logo that can be easily removed from the garment, will still incur tax.

If you can wear the clothing item at work with the company logo showing but then remove it to wear in other places, then HMRC will look at this as an unbranded work uniform item and will tax accordingly.

All clothing worn in the workplace needs to be branded

You cannot choose which workwear items to embroider with your company logo.

All clothing designated as a staff uniform item must be embroidered with the company logo to be classed as uniform and, therefore, untaxable.

Safety clothing and specific clothing items

Clothing worn for safety, such as hi-vis clothing, does not need to be branded to qualify for tax purposes.

Similarly, items of clothing that are required for safety, such as welders’ aprons and gloves, are also not required to carry a company logo to qualify. This includes medical wear such as tunics and gowns.

Claiming tax on the upkeep of your embroidered uniform

An employee can claim back tax on the cost of keeping their uniform clean and presentable if they are the ones paying for this.

Most people can claim £60 per year for the upkeep of their uniform, but certain professions can claim more. Those in the medical profession can claim up to £125 per year.

JKL Clothing provides a full embroidered staff uniform branding service.

From the conception of your company logo to receiving the finished embroidered garment, we can provide help and advice to ensure you and your staff get the embroidered workwear clothing items you require so you can take advantage of any tax breaks available.

Embroidered Summer Workwear

The summer has arrived, and with the country experiencing its first heatwave of the year with record temperatures and more forecasted soon, now is the time to look at your workwear uniform and if it is fit for purpose in the summer temperature conditions.

Traditionally work staff uniform has looked very similar all year round. Depending on the working environment and the tasks required of the employee, it has consisted of an inner garment that can be worn on the inside, next to the skin, such as a polo shirt or traditional shirt.

An outer item of clothing, usually a jacket, fleece or softshell been popular choices and a pair of trousers. Each of these items is easily branded with a company logo and provides a simple yet smart and effective staff uniform.

This is great when we have normal British weather with average temperatures. But what happens when the temperatures rise as they have done recently, and staff are struggling to cope in the extreme heat wearing the staff uniform they have been provided.

There are several options available that we will discuss below.

Garments made from thinner and lighter fabric. As an example, a standard polo shirt fabric weighs approximately 200 grams per square meter (GSM). Lighter fabrics are available, however, many weighing less than 150 GSM.

It is also important to consider the type of fabric worn. The most popular fabric has been either a 100% cotton or polyester and cotton mixture. Both fabrics have their merits, and we recommend them in certain conditions, but not in hot weather.

When the temperature rises, it is often more comfortable to wear a 100% polyester garment with a wicking ability that transports moisture away from the skin, ideal in hot weather.

Lighter-weight outer garments are also available, including lightweight jackets, sweatshirts, fleeces and even hoodies. Moving from trousers to shorts is an obvious change to your work uniform in the summer.

Sometimes this is not safe or practical depending on the type of work you do but it certainly helps to keep you cooler. Again, a wide variety of shorts are available suited to almost all working conditions.

Whatever changes you make to your workwear uniform types the branding will not affect the wearer comfort in hot weather. Adding an embroidered logo to your summer uniform enhances the look, personalised the garment and qualifies the spend for business tax purposes.

Just be mindful that embroidering your logo onto a lighter fabric may require changes to the set up of the embroidery and we will always recommend checking the logo on a sample garment if you change to a different fabric type or weight.

If you are looking at new embroidered staff uniform or workwear this summer, please visit our website, www.jklclothing.co.uk to view our ranges and some available options.

If you cannot find exactly what you are looking for then simply email our sales department sales@jklclothing.co.uk and they will be happy to provide help and advice.

Embroidered Polo Shirts – Personalised to You

A personalised embroidered polo shirt is a great way to create a unique item of clothing. Polo shirt material, usually either pique or jersey knit, is a great base on which to embroider.

There are many reasons why people chose an embroidered polo shirt. The most common is as part of a staff or workwear uniform.

Having staff in a smart, bespoke polo shirt not only gives a good first impression to your customers but it also advertises your business for free. Secondly as part of a team kit.

Sports clubs regularly order bespoke polo shirts from us to provide team members with clothing that identifies them as belonging to their club. Lastly, individuals, these fall into many different categories from the individual wanting a bespoke item of clothing for themselves to the person organising a trip and wants each person to have their own embroidered polo shirt.

Whatever the reason a polo shirt is a great garment to personalise with an embroidered logo.

Polo shirts cover all bases. What do we mean by this? A polo shirt can be worn in almost any setting. It is equally at home worn in a factory by someone performing a manual job to an office where a degree of smartness is expected. For this reason, it is our most popular embroidered garment.

So how do you get your own personalised embroidered polo shirt? Well, lets start by saying no matter how you dress it up (excuse the pun), an embroidered garment of any kind is not as straightforward as ordering a plain one. This is because any embroidered garment is unique to the customer. It’s a one off, personalised to your own specific design, size, and colour.

For these reasons it’s a little more complicated than ordering a plain navy polo shirt in size large. Having said that we believe JKL Clothing have made it as simple as possible.

To get exactly what you want we need some basic information from you. Starting with the logo or text that needs to be embroidered onto the polo shirt. Once we have this, we can work with you to produce the polo shirt you have in mind. We will need other information such as logo size, colour, position etc to produce a sample for you to approve before we embroider your garments.

We have automated this as much as possible on our website but sometimes you simply can’t beat dealing with a real person which is why you will have an account manager responsible for your bespoke embroidered polo shirt from start to finish.

So, if you want to get started with your first order for a personalised embroidered polo shirt or wish to refresh your current staff uniform get in touch with JKL Clothing at sales@jklclothing.co.uk and see what bespoke options are possible using a simple polo shirt.

How Important Is Staff Uniform?

Image and a positive first impression have always been important.

Whether for an individual or a brand, how you or the company you represent is perceived can affect both your own and the company’s success.

For a business or brand, the decision of staff uniform is often crucial in setting the tone of that all-important first impression your customer will receive when engaging with your company.

Just as a website can portray an impression of a business so too can the employees. An employee is often the first contact any prospective new client has with a business. How that employee behaves, conducts themselves and their general demeanor is often a reflection of the business or brand.

Wearing a branded staff uniform can have a positive impact on any interaction a staff member has with customers of the business.

JKL Clothing understands that a quality branded staff uniform is an important part of any business's branding and marketing strategy.

Our sales advisors speak with many businesses to first understand the type of business it is and then work closely to provide a staff uniform that both reflects the brand and is a practical clothing choice for the company’s staff.

Staff uniform for an office environment will differ greatly from a work uniform for a manufacturing company. Understanding where the uniform will be worn and what the wearer will be doing in that uniform helps us to provide our customers with the best-branded clothing options.

Whatever your business and whatever your staff uniform requirements our embroidered branded clothing will ensure your staff and the uniform they wear to give the right first impression and enhance your brand.

If you are looking to provide staff uniforms for the first time to your employees or want to refresh your current uniform visit www.jklclothing.co.uk and get in touch today.

Why Choose Embroidered Shirts For Your Business?

Well firstly let’s discuss branding.

Any business relies on its brand and brand awareness within its market sector to promote and advertise its products or services. Having a branding that compliments a business is vital if you are to succeed in a competitive market.

Clothing and staff uniform is just one aspect of a company's branding that can make a real difference to its success.

Why though, specifically do embroidered shirts promote the brand of a business. A shirt is an item of clothing that transcends all manner of differences that can be found within the cohort of an employee group.

Gender, age, size, shape, and height can all be accommodated with the right shirt.

This gives not only branding to an item of staff clothing but also a smart, professional, and uniform appearance increasing the brand of business and its link to a smart professional workforce and therefore at least subliminally a link to a smart, professional product or service.

Embroidered shirts are a term that can cover a wide range of types and styles.

If we are looking at a shirt that provides a smart and professional appearance, then we really need to dismiss t-shirts and start with the polo shirt.

A polo shirt bridges the gap between smart and casual, formal, and comfortable. It also has the advantage of not been out of place whether in the office or the factory floor.

This makes a polo shirt a very attractive choice when looking for a branded shirt that covers a lot of bases and can be worn by an entire workforce.

If we are looking at a smarter or corporate shirt option, then a business shirt is the obvious choice.

Within this category, we can also find options for a more casual or formal appearance. Short or long sleeve is another style choice that can be made depending on personal preference.

As with the polo shirt a formal shirt is available in male and female fitting style, long or short sleeves, a variety of fabrics and styles and designs to fit any branding requirement.

Finally, there is the most important aspect of an embroidered shirt, the branding itself.

Embroidery as a garment decorating option adds to the appearance of smartness and professionalism. It is the decorating choice when compared to transfer or screen printing that gives the finished garment the smartest, cleanest, and most professional-looking product.

Popular areas to place and embroidered logo or company name include the left and right chest areas, sleeves, and the nape at the rear of the shirt.

The choice of embroidery location can often be dictated by the size, shape, and design of the logo. Always take the advice of your embroidered.

They are the people that know both the garment and embroidery the best and will therefore know which position the embroidery will need to be to show off the logo to its maximum potential.

Women’s Workwear

Finding the right outfit to wear to work can be, in itself, hard work.

Before you have even reached your workplace be it an office, factory, shop, or warehouse you will no doubt have asked yourself the question am I wearing the right clothing?

What women wear for work generally falls into two categories.

Firstly, a work uniform, provided by their employer, is often embroidered, or customised in some way with the business company logo and bought to provide the wearer with clothing that promotes the business as much as promotes the individual wearing it.

Secondly is the general work clothing guideline provided by the employer that the employee is expected to stick to when choosing what to wear for work.

If you fall into the first category and receive a company uniform to wear to work, then the predicament of what to wear is taken out of your hands. The only choice you may have to make is the size and possibly which shoes or footwear to go with it.

The second category employees have decisions to make on what to wear to work which can often be very daunting. Women’s workwear can vary from workplace to workplace.

A woman working in an office will often chose a stylish yet modest blouse and suit combination alternating between skirt and trousers depending on the weather and time of year. Women’s office wear choices are usually dark colours with may be just a touch of individual colour in an accessory or blouse pattern.

People usually don’t want to attract attention to themselves at work and certainly do not want to portray anything other than a completely professional image in an office environment.

Mixing and matching dark colour jacket, trouser and skirt combinations with an individual blouse is a tried and tested way to achieve a smart, clean, and professional corporate look.

This office wear style does not have to cost the earth and can be found both on the high street and online at reasonable prices.

Women working in other working environments often have a greater choice on what to wear.

Sometimes this choice is dictated by the type of work carried out, for example working in a factory may involve having to wear certain protective workwear to keep safe.

Women working in factory or warehouse environments often have their work clothing provided to them by their employer. A work shirt, trouser, sweatshirt or jumper and jacket for winter are the main staple of this type of women’s workwear.

Often chosen in company colours and displaying the company logo this type of women’s workwear gives the wearer a simple and straightforward clothing option when getting dressed for work and provides the employer with uniform staff promoting their business in a smart, professional, and positive light.

Whatever the type of women’s workwear you dress in for work size and fit are the most common complaints women have about what they are wearing when at work.

The female shape can be difficult to fit clothing for. This is especially the case when an employer provides the work uniform as it can often only come in basic sizes with little fit variation.

Women will often find themselves dressed for work in ill fitting clothing as this will be the only option open to them from the employer. Selecting a women’s workwear uniform that has a wide choice of fitting options is therefore vital if you are to ensure that all the women within the employment group can get clothing to fit and therefore feel comfortable in.

Beat The Heat With Portwest Flame Resistant Workwear

If you work within a hazardous working environment or provide workwear for a workforce that requires Flame Resistant Workwear, you’re likely savvy to the importance of providing the correct workwear.

After all, keeping your workers protected from nasty workplace injuries is essential, making the importance of purchasing the right workwear an absolute priority!

Here at JKL Clothing, we take safety seriously. So, if you’re looking to kit either yourself or your workforce out with workwear that excels expectations we have just the thing in stock.

Portwest Flame Resistant Workwear Range

Did you know that Portwest provides over 120 industry-leading Flame Resistant Styles alone?

Their impressive, state of the art collection consists of a wide selection of multi-standard protection which is perfect for all kinds of hazardous environments. From working around bare flames to welding protection – at JKL Clothing, we have a Flame Resistant solution ideal for your application.

Like much workwear, Flame Resistant garments aren’t a ‘one shoe, fit’s all’ kind of gig.

So before we showcase the best bits from the Portwest Range, let’s take a minute to understand the different workwear solutions available at JKL.

Flame Resistant Solutions – What’s The Difference?

Portwest currently provides five industry-leading flame-resistant solutions as a part of their FR range.
At JKL, we are proud to stock all five solutions, but you may be wondering, what is the difference between these solutions?

Araflame

The Anti-Static Araflame collection is an inherently permanent flame-resistant aramid.

Designed to be extremely flame-resistant, this collection is also lightweight and offers high tensile strength and full anti-static protection for all workers.

Modaflame

The Anti-Static Modaflame collection has been specially designed from Modacrylic fibres.
The Modacrylic fibres provide inherent flame resistance, exceptional dimensional stability and high elastic properties, which allows the garments to retain their shape.

All Modaflame garments also have carbon fibre woven into the fabric giving them essential anti-static properties.

Bizflame

Bizflame is a patented flame-resistant finish which, when applied to fabric, provides excellent flame resistance. Bizflame is only combined with the best quality raw materials, giving each workwear garment the perfect balance of comfort and strength.

Bizweld

Made from 100% 330g Bizweld cotton fabric, the Bizweld workwear collection is completely flame resistant. Providing exceptional flame and molten splash protection, this collection is perfect for those in the welding industry or similar.

Sealtex Flame

Constructed from a wonderfully lightweight and durable flame-resistant PU coated polyester fabric, the Sealtex Flame collection offers full protection from adverse weather and flame hazards.

Stay Protected

Keep yourself and your workforce properly protected with our range of Portwest Flame Resistant Workwear here at JKL – you can even get your companies logo embroidered and printed – bonus!
